Waking up to snow this morning makes it feel a little more like winter! It was so hard to get into the Christmas spirit with it feeling like spring! The word around the “neighborhood” is that we are due for two blizzards this year. I can’t say I would be too upset about that! Something about being snowed in, watching TV and hanging with family is wonderful. Maybe it is the joy you felt as a kid wanting to have a snow delay and being excited about what it might hold. I think the snow acts like a time capsule in some ways. Now if only I can get that time capsule to slow down my life and keep my babies….BABIES!!

I remember the excitement of snow days as well. I remember the Blizzard of 1978 and the radio announcer saying the list was too long to read off and he would just tell us the one school that was still open – and giving them permission to stay home. I also remember that once school opened again we walked on top of snow drifts.
